Rant: Spent 4 hours figuring out why my card sleeves didn't fit

I bought a new board game last weekend and ordered sleeves for it online. The pack said they were the right size for the cards, but half of them were too tight and bent the corners. Turns out the game company changed their card dimensions by 2mm between print runs. Has anyone else run into this sizing mess with newer games?

Arcane Tinmen's standard size is usually the safest bet for games with weird sizing, I've had to swap to them after similar headaches. Just measure one of your cards and look up the actual mm specs before buying anything labeled "standard" again.

Twenty bucks says the game company did it on purpose to sell branded sleeves.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit, these companies know exactly what they're doing. Same thing happened with my niece's favorite card game, suddenly the perfect fit sleeves were "sold out" everywhere except their own store. Makes you wonder if they're in the business of making games or making problems.
