Signing up for a local gaming night changed how I run my group
I've been running a weekly group for about 6 months and kept losing players because they said the nights felt too long. I tried cutting games from 3 hours to 2 but that didn't help. Last month I joined a drop-in night at a library in Dayton and noticed they use a timer for each turn, no exceptions. It felt strict at first but everyone got through way more games. I brought that back to my group and now we finish on time and people actually come back. Has anyone else tried turn timers with casual players without making it feel like a tournament?
