TIL setting up a game night with 8 people and 3 different expansions was a disaster I barely survived
I organized a game of Eldritch Horror at my local cafe last Saturday and after 20 minutes of rules arguing and a missing component we called it quits, has anyone else had a game night fall apart that fast?

Only 20 minutes? That's impressively fast failure.

Yeah it's wild how fast things can fall apart when you cut corners on the small stuff. I see it all the time at work with new hires who skip the basics and end up wasting hours fixing mistakes later. That 20 minute mark feels like the point where a project either holds or completely unravels. Makes me wonder how many times we miss that same pattern in our own routines without even noticing.

Have you noticed how that 20 minute warning shows up in the weirdest places too? I read something recently about how even top chefs say you can tell if a dish is going to work within the first few minutes of cooking, same kind of pattern @jesse_williams62 is talking about... it's like the universe gives us these little checkpoints.
