Had a real rough patch with some old pipe flanges on a job in Tacoma
We were replacing a section on a 20 year old boiler and every single bolt on the main steam flange was seized solid. Spent three hours just on the first one, trying heat, penetrant, and a 3 foot cheater bar before it finally gave. The rest of the day was just that, over and over. Anyone got a better trick for that kind of rust besides just brute force and time?
