Can we talk about how book club debates in my area are getting more thoughtful lately... noticed it at our last meetup and it felt like a real shift.

Our group read that new literary thriller last month and people just argued about the plot holes again. Seems like the same old reactions dressed up with slightly bigger words to me.

Ugh, tell me about it. I hear the same stuff from my students, just with more sparkly vocabulary.

Honestly, I felt the same as Paul until recently. But my group actually dug into the characters' choices last week, not just the story beats. It made me see the difference.
