Can we talk about the book club meeting in Seattle?
Last month, our group met at the public library downtown. We argued for 45 minutes about whether the narrator in the story was reliable or just lying to herself. Someone pulled out a map of the town from the book and pointed out three clues near the ferry dock. That shifted everyone's take, and by the end, half of us switched sides. Has another book made your group flip opinions mid-debate like that?

Did your group ever have someone so sure of their take that they made everyone else doubt themselves? My friend Dana had that happen with a sci-fi pick a few years back. She was dead set the alien was a metaphor for grief, then someone read a line about the ship's log and she flipped so hard she spent the next hour arguing the opposite side. By the end, three other people switched too, just because she was so loud about it. She still brings it up as the night she was wrong twice in one meeting.
