I finally called out the person who spoiled our book pick at the meeting last week

We were at the Westgate library branch, 40 minutes into discussing the third chapter of our pick, and this guy Dave just blurts out the ending twist like it was nothing. I get people get excited, but the whole point of a book club debate is the build up, you know? I said, hey Dave, some of us are still on page 120, and he laughed it off. Has anyone else dealt with a spoiler-happy member, and how do you stop it without making the whole group awkward?
