Just noticed our club argued for 47 minutes about a single character's motivation
That's longer than our usual whole meeting, and it started because someone quoted a line from chapter three. Do your groups ever fixate on tiny details like that?

Was it really 47 minutes? I only remember it being half an hour (I checked the time when we started). But yeah, we totally get stuck on small stuff. Last month we spent twenty minutes on why a character chose a blue coat and not a brown one. Sometimes those details feel really important in the moment, you know?

But those tiny details are what make the story feel real, right? Can't just skip over them.
