Our book club totally split over the ending of 'The Silent Patient'
Half of us think the twist was brilliant and earned, the other half say it was a cheap trick that ruined the whole book. Honestly, the debate got so heated last Tuesday that our host had to pause for more wine. Has your group ever had a book that caused a real divide like that?

Watched our group tear itself apart over The Goldfinch last year. Some called it a deep look at grief, others said it was just a boring mess about a painting. We still bring it up when someone suggests a long book.

That Gatsby fight was wild. People got so heated about the parties and the shirts. Like, yeah he built a whole fake life to get Daisy, but he also took the blame for her. I always thought that final choice made him more than just a rich stalker.
