Our club tried a strict schedule vs a free chat for 'The Midnight Library'
We gave each person 5 minutes to talk with a timer, then just let everyone jump in for the next meeting. The open chat got way more people sharing, even the quiet ones. How does your group keep talks from getting stuck?

My old D&D group had the same problem with rigid turns. We switched to a "raise your hand" system in the group chat before speaking. It cut down on the two loud guys talking over everyone and let three of our shy players actually get their ideas out. Structure kills natural talk, you gotta find a loose system that works for your specific people.

Yeah, that hand-raise trick is a lifesaver. We do something similar with a talking stick in our group, it just makes everything flow better.

Honestly a bit of structure can save a meeting from total chaos though. Sometimes you need that timer to stop one person from taking over, @daniel474. A free-for-all just lets the loudest voices win again.
