Vent: our club voted down a 340 page book because it was 'too long' but everyone read a 700 page fantasy last month
I pulled the reading stats from our group chat going back six months and the average page count of what we actually finished was 480 pages, which nobody wanted to hear at Tuesday's meeting at Dana's place. So the 'it's too long' excuse for the new novel doesn't really hold up, we just pick what sounds fun and then make up reasons after. Does anyone else keep actual track of what their club finishes, or am I being too much of a numbers guy about this?
