Was skeptical about reading books on a tablet for years, now I'm a convert

I always thought physical books were the only way to really connect with a story, but my sister convinced me to try a Kindle for a long flight to Chicago. After reading 3 books in one week without the wrist strain, I finally get the hype. Anyone else change their mind after swearing off e-readers for ages?

it's actually wild how stubborn we get about stuff like this lol. like when everyone swore by flip phones and then suddenly smartphones were just... better. same with e-readers honestly, once you get over the "it's not a real book" thing it's just more convenient for reading in bed or on the train without having to hold a 500 page paperback. reminds me of how people used to say online dating was sketchy but now everyone's on apps. technology just creeps up on you and suddenly the old way feels like extra work for no reason.

flip phones" was exactly what hit me too @morgan_bailey93. i remember arguing with my buddy that my razr was better because the battery lasted a week, then he showed me google maps and i shut up real quick.

Read somewhere that people used to think e-readers would never catch on because of the whole "book smell" thing. Then everyone realized you can carry a thousand books in a tablet and suddenly the smell doesn't matter as much.
