Learned i was gluing my book spines backwards for like 2 years
A guy at the meetup last month looked at a book i brought and asked why my hinge gaps were on the wrong side. I had been putting the glue on the spine fold instead of the joint crease and wondered why my books never lay flat. Has anyone else missed something that obvious for that long?

Man I feel this one so hard. With my real estate signs I used to tape the corners facing the wrong way and wondered why they kept flopping over in the wind. Finally a buddy showed me to fold the tape so it grabs both sides of the sign and the frame at the same time instead of just slapping it on flat. Once I fixed that little thing everything started staying put and I felt like an idiot for not figuring it out sooner.

Three signs in a row I lost to a crosswind before my neighbor came over and showed me the tape trick. I was out there with a staple gun and duct tape looking like a fool while he just folded the corner over the frame like it was obvious. The kicker is I had watched a YouTube video on sign installation the week before but skipped past that part because I thought I knew better. Now I fold every single corner and my signs actually stay up through the afternoon gusts.
