Actually that sounds like a you problem, not a craft problem. Most people can get the gist of things if you explain them in normal words instead of shop talk. You just didn't bother to translate it for someone outside your bubble.

Consider how often people refuse to meet you halfway. They hear one technical term and just tune out, not even trying to understand. That turns a translation problem into a listening problem real quick.
