PSA: A binder in Chicago told me to ditch my bone folder for a teflon one, and it's a game changer.

I was skeptical, but after a single project, my marbling was way cleaner with zero paper drag. Anyone else made a simple tool swap that actually worked?

My old bone folder left these faint, greasy streaks on dark paper that drove me nuts. Switched to a basic plastic one from a dollar store years back, and it was like night and day. No more smudges on my book covers, and it glides over folds without catching. Sometimes the cheapest fix is the one that actually works.

Yeah, @nathan_shah, that plastic just works better for most paper.

That greasy streak thing is wild, never had that happen with my bone folders. Got a nice teak one that's weighted just right, feels solid in the hand. Plastic ones feel too light and flimsy to me, like they might snap on a thick cardstock fold. The bone just has a smoother glide on cotton paper, no contest. Different strokes, I guess.
