Tbh, this older guy walked up to my booth, picked up my book, sniffed it, and said 'your hinge is gonna pop in 6 months' and then he showed me a 40 year old binding trick with a bone folder that I've used on every project since, has anyone else gotten unsolicited trade secrets from a stranger?

Old guys at craft fairs are lowkey the best secret weapon, theyve seen it all and wont waste your time with fluff. That bone folder trick sounds like the kind of thing you cant find in any YouTube tutorial, just years of messing up and fixing it. Its wild how a total stranger can hand you a lifetime of knowledge in two minutes flat. Makes me wonder how many other genius fixes are walking around out there waiting to be asked. Glad you caught that hinge before it wrecked your whole project.
