Update: I keep seeing people use regular PVA glue for spine lining and it's going to crack in a year

Honestly, after seeing three customer repairs this month from binders using Elmer's instead of flexible bookbinding glue, I need to ask, what flexible adhesive are you all actually using for your spines?

Customer repairs from binders using Elmer's" is so real. I had a book I fixed for a friend come back to me in pieces, the spine just shattered. It was a perfectly good cover, but the whole text block fell out because the glue turned into a brittle plastic sheet. Now I only use Jade 403, that stuff stays flexible forever. Seeing a repair fail that fast is just sad.

How many books did you lose before switching to Jade 403, @finleym43?
