Vent: Overusing PVA on spine linings is driving me nuts

Three times this month I've seen people's rebinds where the spine lining is stiff as a board because they slathered on way too much PVA. How do you get good flexibility in the joint if you drown the thing in glue before it even sees a cover?

Man maybe it's just the type of paper they're using that's the real issue.

Wait, are we talking regular paper or that weird glossy stuff they use for flyers?

And @rodriguez.felix is right, paper choice makes a huge difference in how much glue you actually need.
