My aloe plant is giving me more grief than calm

I got an aloe vera to help with my anxiety, thinking caring for it would be soothing. Instead, I'm constantly stressed about its brown tips and slow growth. I read that indirect light and sparse watering are key, so I stuck to that. Yet, it looks worse each week, and I can't figure out why. This has started to affect my sleep because I lay awake overthinking its condition. It's supposed to be a low-maintenance plant, but it feels like high maintenance for my mind. I even moved it around the house, but no change. Sometimes I wonder if I should just give up on plants for good.

Actually, read that brown tips on aloe can mean too much sun or bad water. Tap water has chemicals that bother them. Try using filtered water instead.

That point about tap water chemicals is SPOT ON. I notice this pattern in daily life too, like with the stuff we use to clean our homes. Small choices have big impacts, on plants and on us. It's wild how we overlook the basics until something goes wrong, like brown tips on aloe. Really makes you pay attention to the details.

Remember my friend who killed three aloes before switching pots?
