My backyard fern patch in Bellingham went from 3 fronds to a full clump in two years
When I moved into this rental back in 2022 there were just three sad little fern fronds by the fence, and now the whole corner is a thick clump that my neighbor keeps asking to dig up. Turns out it was the shade from a maple I trimmed back and a wet spring that did it, not anything I bought at the nursery. Curious if anyone else has had a plant surprise them like that once the light changed.
