My basil plant went from 2 inches to a bush in 3 months after I started talking to it

I bought a sad little basil seedling from Home Depot back in June and it barely grew for weeks. Then I started reading my gardening book out loud near it every morning, and now it's over 2 feet wide and taking over my kitchen window. Has anyone else had a plant respond to weird stuff like this?

lol plants definitely respond to attention, mine started thriving after I put on music for it.

Plant Spotify stations now, huh? @sethhernandez next thing you know your fern is gonna start asking for Motown Sundays. My snake plant just gets the sound of me tripping over a bucket of grout in the garage.
