My spider plant's pup grew roots when I least expected it
I used to think spider plant babies were tricky to root and needed perfect conditions. One broke off by accident, so I just placed it in a cup of water on my windowsill. In less than a week, tiny white roots appeared, and now it's thriving in its own pot. This little success showed me that sometimes plants just want a simple chance to grow.

That "perfect conditions" worry is so real. I tried for months to get my string of pearls cuttings to root in special soil with a grow light. What specific things was your friend doing before that clipping sprouted in the dusty vase? Like, was she changing the water daily or using rooting hormone?

My friend had that "perfect conditions" worry too until her neglected clipping sprouted roots in a dusty vase.

Yeah, I definitely overthink my plants to death sometimes. My most successful one is a pothos I forgot on a bookshelf for a month. Gave it a guilty splash of water and it's now trying to climb my curtains.
