Pro tip: label your pressed specimens in pencil, found out the hard way after 200 sheets
Honestly I hit 200 pressed specimens in my binders last month and it caught me off guard. I started this as a hobby in my apartment back in 2019 with like 12 plants from the lot behind my building in Columbus. The number matters because a chunk of the early ones faded to nothing since I used ballpoint that broke down over time. Now I go pencil only and re-label anything older than a few seasons. Anyone else switched pens after seeing their own sheets go blank?

A buddy of mine made the exact same mistake with his mushroom spore prints and lost a whole season's worth of notes. He switched to pencil after that and now keeps a little sharpener right in his specimen box so he never gets stuck. It's wild how something that small can erase years of work.
