Switched from grow lights to a south-facing window for my succulents
I was sure my $50 LED panel was helping, but after three months my echeveria got leggy. Moved them to the window last week and already see new compact growth. Anyone else ditch artificial lights for natural sun?

Oh man, I swear grow lights are just expensive plant therapy lamps for us, not the plants. Mine made my jade plant look like it was doing yoga stretches trying to reach the light. Put it in a south window and now it's all "look at me, I'm a compact little shrub," real smug about it.

Real smug about it" - I'm dying because my jade is doing the same thing. I pampered it under a grow light for months, rotating it every week, and it still looked like it was reaching for something better. Stuck it two feet from a south window and now it's basically a chunky little tree giving me the side eye. Pretty sure it's judging my life choices while soaking up that sweet, free sunlight. Meanwhile my grow light is just collecting dust and making my electricity bill sad.

Three feet from a south window and my jade went from looking like a sad little alien trying to escape its pot to basically a bonsai that thinks it's better than me. How far away do you keep yours from that window, and do you rotate it? I swear mine started leaning so hard I thought it was trying to climb out of its own pot before I moved it.
