That time I forgot to water my monstera for two weeks while on vacation in Phoenix

I came back to crispy brown leaves and drooping stems, so I gave it a deep soak in the sink for 30 minutes and it bounced back within a few days has anyone else saved a plant that looked totally dead after a watering screw up?

Three gallons of water and a prayer is about what it took for mine after I left it in direct sun for a week last July. The thing looked like a pile of dried potato chips when I got home. I cut off maybe 80 percent of the leaves and just left it in the bathtub with a slow drip for an hour. Came back slower than yours, about two weeks to get new growth, but it's now the biggest plant in my living room. Plants are tougher than we give them credit for, or maybe they just hold grudges until we fix it.

My monstera did the same thing after a week in 95 degree heat. I chopped off the dead leaves and did a full soak, it came back in about four days. Just give it time and don't overwater now that it's recovering.
