TIL a rose breeder in Portland changed how I see my whole front yard
I was hauling a customer's plants for a move and their buddy who grows roses pointed at my scraggly bush and said 'you're pruning for shape when you should prune for air flow.' It took like 20 seconds to explain but I redid all 6 bushes that weekend and they actually bloomed better this spring. Has anyone else had one random comment flip their whole routine?
