Bit into a scorpion at a taco stand in Austin and the crunch is still living in my head
I was 3 bites into what the guy swore was just crispy shrimp when I felt legs, and I chased it with a whole horchata just to stop the tingling, so tell me, does the sting hit later or did I get lucky?

Man, I used to laugh at people who freaked out over a little bug in their food. Then I read your post and now I'm never ordering "crispy shrimp" from a taco stand again, that's for sure. The sting usually comes later if it's gonna come at all, so keep the horchata handy for the next few hours.
