An old coworker's tip for clearing your head on break really stuck with me
Just closing your eyes and counting backward from ten can shake off that midday fog.

Walk away from your desk for five minutes. It forces your brain to switch gears and stop fixating on work. Might seem too simple, but it actually works.

Oh man, I tried the counting backwards thing once. I got to about seven before my brain went, "Wait, did you send that email?" and then I was just sitting there with my eyes closed, mentally re-reading my entire sent folder. So maybe a physical walk is more my speed. I'd probably just walk to the break room and stare at the fridge, but hey, it's a change of scenery.
