Finally broke my personal record for pushups during lunch breaks
Been doing pushups on my 15 minute break for about 6 weeks now. Hit 45 in a row yesterday, which is 12 more than I could do last month. Anyone else use their work breaks for quick fitness stuff?

45 pushups is impressive but you could be burning yourself out before your real workout.

Oh man that's awesome! Its crazy how fast the body adapts when you just do little bits consistently. I feel like thats the hidden secret to everything in life, not just fitness. Making progress in small, boring chunks while nobody is watching is way more real than any big dramatic transformation. The whole "micro habits" thing sounds like internet garbage but its actually true for basically anything worth getting better at.

I'd push back on the "consistency is everything" angle because sometimes you need a big shakeup to break out of a rut. Doing the same small thing every day can just reinforce bad habits if you're not challenging yourself in a different way. Not every "micro habit" sticks either, some people need a bigger jump start to actually see any real change.
