Had to choose between the $30 pasta maker and the $100 one at the thrift store
Picked the cheap plastic one and now my fettuccine keeps tearing while I roll it, anyone else regret not just saving up for the metal one?

Honestly, cheap plastic always fails sooner. Metal would've lasted forever.

My kitchen drawer has like 3 different plastic spatulas that all melted just from touching a hot pan once. Meanwhile my grandma's metal spatula from the 70s is still in perfect shape. Idk, maybe it's just me but it feels like everything now is designed to break so you have to buy a new one. My phone charger stopped working after 6 months and the replacement cord is already fraying. It's like companies just gave up on making things that last. Even my blender's plastic container cracked from normal use, not even dropping it or anything.
