Hot take: I used to think dish soap was dish soap, but I was wrong

My wife bought that expensive Dawn platinum stuff last week and I rolled my eyes. I figured it was all the same chemical goop. Then I tried scrubbing a greasy baking sheet with our usual store brand and it took forever. Switched to the Dawn and the grease just fell off in like 10 seconds. So yeah, I guess I'm one of those people now. What else have I been wrong about that seems stupid but actually matters?

That store brand versus name brand thing is a trap for sure. What about paper towels though? Like, I used to buy the cheapest ones and just use a million sheets, but then my buddy gave me a roll of Bounty and it actually absorbed stuff instead of just pushing the liquid around. Makes you wonder what other everyday stuff we've been getting wrong without even realizing it, you know?

Used to think cheap ones were fine until I tried Bounty too lmao. @elliot_johnson31 changed my whole view.
