Just realized that cashier was actually trying to help me save money

Last week at the grocery store, the lady checking me out asked if I really needed the big bag of chips since the smaller one was on sale for $1.50 less. She was right and I saved a few bucks, but man did I feel dumb for almost ignoring her at first.

Yeah I feel that lol. It's so easy to get in that headspace where you think the cashier is just trying to rush you or upsell you on something. But honestly, most of the time they're just regular people trying to do their job and maybe help out a bit. I've had that happen where I nearly brushed off a suggestion and then realized they were actually looking out for me. It's kind of a nice reminder that not everyone is out to get your money, you know? Glad you ended up saving that cash, even if it stung a little at first.

Whoa yeah I used to be way more suspicious of stuff like that honestly. I thought every suggestion was just a way to get me to spend more money. But this whole thing kinda made me rethink that, it's nice to be wrong sometimes I guess.
