My break room coffee maker disaster and the one thing that saved it
I was making a fresh pot during my 10 AM break when the whole carafe slipped and shattered on the floor. Coffee grounds and glass went everywhere, and I had about 7 minutes left before my next meeting. I ran to the supply closet and grabbed a box of those big binder clips. I used three of them to clamp a heavy-duty paper filter right over the empty basket, then slowly poured hot water through it into my mug. It was messy and slow, but I got my caffeine fix. Has anyone else had to MacGyver a broken coffee maker at work?

Keep a spare french press in your desk drawer. Saved me more times than I care to admit.

That "saved me more times" line is so true. I've started seeing backup plans for small things as a secret life hack.

Saw a thing about "prep pockets" for stuff like phone chargers and bandaids, totally get what @kevinrivera means.
