My coffee break routine got a complete overhaul this spring
I always used to just grab a quick cup from the break room machine and scroll on my phone for ten minutes. Then my coworker, Mark, started bringing in a little French press and some good beans from that local roaster, Grounded, on 5th Street. We tried it one Tuesday, and the taste was so much better, it actually felt like a real break. Now I look forward to that five minutes of just talking and brewing more than the coffee itself. Anyone else find a small change to their break ritual made a big difference?

Notice how the best upgrades are just doing one simple thing with a little more care.

That French press move is a game changer. My old office had one guy who would make a whole pour over setup in the break room. It forced everyone to slow down for a minute and actually talk. The cheap machine coffee just tastes like burnt water after you get used to the good stuff. It turns a boring routine into something you actually miss on days off.
