My lunch break turned into a minor disaster at the park
I was trying to enjoy my sandwich on a bench in Central Park last Thursday. A big gust of wind came out of nowhere and blew the whole top slice of bread, plus my turkey and cheese, right into a muddy puddle. I just sat there for a second, holding the sad bottom piece of bread. My plan was ruined, and I only had twenty minutes left. I ended up walking to a cart and buying a pretzel, which was dry and overpriced. The whole thing made me realize I need to pack lunches that can survive a bit of weather, or just eat inside. What's the most durable food you've taken on a break that actually tasted good?

Watched my burrito roll away in a parking lot once.

Read somewhere that dropped food is actually safe to eat if you pick it up fast enough. The five second rule might have some real science behind it. Your burrito was probably fine if you grabbed it quick.

Parking lot burritos are a whole different level of risk. I'm with grant_green21 on this one, because asphalt adds gravel and mystery fluids to the equation. The five second rule totally fails when your food goes on a road trip.
