My printer jammed right before a closing, cost me 45 minutes at the office on Peachtree Street
Last Tuesday I had a 10am closing and my HP laser printer decided to eat a sheet of paper just as I was printing the final settlement statement. I spent twenty minutes digging feed rollers out of the thing, then had to drive to the FedEx on Piedmont to print a backup copy. Has anyone else had a key piece of tech fail at the worst possible moment? What did you do?

Did you have a backup plan already in place or were you just flying blind? My buddy Tim had his laptop die mid-signing once and he ended up handwriting five whole pages of the closing disclosure in the conference room while the buyers sat there watching him. The seller's agent actually went down to the Starbucks and printed a PDF off their phone for him.

Forty five minutes is nothing, I once spent an hour at a Staples on $200 in expedited printing fees because my laptop blue screened at 9:58am for a 10am closing. @vera_palmer you definitely win the worst timing award though, batteries never fail at a convenient moment do they.
