Old school lunch breaks are gone and I miss the quiet

My first job back in 2009 at a call center in Tulsa, everyone took their 30 minute break in the same dusty lunchroom. No phones out, just people eating sandwiches and staring at the wall or chatting about nothing. Now I run my own cleaning business and I catch my clients scrolling through TikTok during their 10 minute coffee pause, looking half annoyed they even have to stop. It's not their fault, we all do it, but I swear nobody just sits anymore. Last Tuesday I left my phone in the van on purpose and ate a bagel by the dumpster, best 15 minutes I had all week. Do any of you still take breaks without looking at a screen, or am I the weird one here?

Dumpster bagel crew for life, right? I did the same thing behind my shop last week.
