Pro tip: the office microwave war between popcorn and leftover fish
Had to pick between heating my salmon from last night or making a bag of popcorn for my 3pm break. Went with the popcorn. Whole floor smelled like butter, not fish. Got zero dirty looks. Anyone else have a close call with break room food choices?

Man, you chose wisely. That salmon would have haunted the whole floor for days. I've seen people try to heat up broccoli and it's almost as bad. Popcorn is the safe play, even if it gets a little loud. You can't go wrong with that butter smell.

The "safe play" is my only play. I once microwaved some soup and got a full HR email about "shared space smells." Now I just eat cold sandwiches like a coward.
