PSA: the coffee shop near the train station has a hidden second floor

I stopped by Brew & Bean on my lunch break yesterday because the ground floor was packed. Turned out there's a whole upstairs area with big windows and way more seats. Nobody was up there. I got a table by the window and actually finished my book for 20 minutes. Has anyone else stumbled on a hidden spot in a place you've been going to for months?

I found a place like that once. There's this bookstore on 5th Street with a tiny staircase behind a shelf of gardening books that leads to a little reading nook with old armchairs. I walked past that shelf for like six months before I noticed the stairs. It REALLY made me feel dumb but also happy. Totally get the satisfaction of having a quiet spot all to yourself.

That "dumb but happy" feeling hits different. I've done the same thing in a coffee shop near my place. Walked past this fake bookcase for like a year. Finally pushed on it one day and it swung open to a tiny patio with string lights. Felt like an idiot but also like I found a secret club. Pro tip: if a shelf looks too perfect or the books look fake, push on it. Might just be a door.

The whole "felt dumb but also happy" thing is the PERFECT way to describe it. That six month wait makes the discovery SO much more rewarding. You built up that luck for half a year without even knowing it. It makes the spot feel earned in a weird way too. Most people just walk in and find the obvious stuff, but you went on a secret mission. That store sounds like a goldmine for hidden corners.
