Question about those electric lunch boxes

My coworker Karen has been raving about her electric lunch box for weeks. She heats up soup and leftovers right at her desk. I thought it was dumb because the break room has a microwave. Then she let me try her mac and cheese last Tuesday and it actually tasted better than microwave stuff. Am I missing out on something here or is it just another gadget to clean?

Bought one for my wife and now shes heating up pizza rolls at 10am like its normal lol

Wait, is 10am pizza rolls really that weird though? I think people just get judgey about what time you eat stuff but if you're hungry you're hungry.

Karens eating room temp mac and cheese at a desk isnt some huge upgrade, its just another appliance to wash.
