The night shift guy at Waffle House rewired my brain about lunch breaks

I used to eat at my desk every day, thought taking a real break was lazy. Last week this older dude named Ray at the 24hr Waffle House in Nashville told me he's been taking 20 minute walks after his shift for 30 years. He said his doctor told him to, but it's the only reason he still has knees that work. I tried it for 3 days this week, just walked around the parking lot, and I actually came back less foggy. Anyone else get schooled by a random stranger about their break habits?

My uncle worked the grill at a truck stop for 35 years and he swore by the same thing, just walking the lot after his shift. He always said it kept his back from locking up and his head from spinning. Might be the most low-tech health advice I've ever heard, but it clearly works for some people.
