The office coffee machine got replaced with a fancy pod system last month
The old drip pot made brown water that tasted like regret, but this new $400 machine burns my tongue on latte foam every single morning. Anyone else miss the consistency of bad coffee?

Man, that new machine sounds like a real pain. I get why they wanted to switch, but burning your tongue on fancy foam every morning isn't much better than old brown water. At least with the old pot you could count on it being the same terrible taste day after day. Now you gotta deal with surprises and paying more for the privilege.

But have you tried the cold brew yet? I was skeptical too until I gave in last week. It's actually smoother and doesn't burn my tongue like the hot stuff. Yeah it's pricier but I'm not buying lunch anyway so it kind of evens out. Plus the old machine's coffee always tasted like it was brewed with burnt toast crumbs.
