Tried a 15-minute walk versus scrolling my phone on my lunch break

I forced myself to walk around the block for 15 minutes yesterday instead of sitting at my desk. I came back feeling way more awake and less stressed for the afternoon. Do you have a better break routine than just looking at a screen?

Totally get that. I started doing the same thing last month. Just getting outside, even if it's just to the parking lot, makes a huge difference. My brain feels reset in a way that scrolling never does. Now I keep an old pair of sneakers under my desk just for that. The afternoon slump is way less brutal.

What about mixing up the senses on your walk? I stopped listening to podcasts and just paid attention to sounds around me, like birds or the wind. It's weirdly harder than it sounds but makes my brain shut off the work noise completely. I even try to spot one new thing, like a weird shaped cloud or a specific color on a house. It turns the walk into a tiny scavenger hunt that feels nothing like work.
