Vent: Everyone says you need a full hour for lunch, but my 22 minute power nap in the truck cab is way better

I used to try and cram in a whole meal and a walk during my break, but I'd just come back feeling slow and full. Now I set a timer for 22 minutes, lean the seat back, and just zone out. I wake up feeling sharper than if I'd had coffee, and I still have time to eat a sandwich. Anyone else find a short rest works better than a long, drawn-out break?

My old office had a strict one hour lunch policy. I started taking 15 minute naps at my desk with noise canceling headphones instead of going out. It completely changed my afternoons, I stopped hitting that 3pm wall.

Power move right there. Short naps are a total game changer.

My last job tried to enforce a 45 minute lunch break. I found that forcing myself to actually leave the building and walk around the block gave me way more energy than staying at my desk, even for a quick nap. The change of scenery and fresh air made a bigger difference for my focus.
