Bought a used brick saw for $200 and it paid off in one day
Found a beat up old MK saw on Facebook Marketplace last week for $200. Drove 45 minutes to pick it up from some guy's barn, lol. Used it on a patio job Saturday and cut through 60 pavers without breaking a sweat. Saved me at least two hours compared to using a chisel and hammer. Anyone else ever got lucky with a used tool find?

Well I've noticed that's how it goes with most good tools. The stuff people wrote off as junk twenty years ago still works fine today. My granddad always said they don't build things to last anymore and he was right about that.

Gotta stop you right there because did you say twenty years? That hit me hard. Twenty years ago was 2004, that's not that long ago. Your granddad was talking about stuff built in the 80s or 90s being junk, right? I'm sitting here looking at a tape measure from 1998 that works better than the one I bought last month. Guess cheap plastic really did ruin everything. What kind of tools has he still got kicking around?
