Finally got my old mortar mix right after a full wall sagged

Last month I laid a whole garden wall in Spokane and it slumped overnight because I let the mortar get too wet in the mixer. I ended up tearing down 14 feet of block and remixing with a drier batch, plus adding a little lime for stick. Anyone else have a slump issue that made you change your mixing routine for good?

My buddy did this exact thing, brick wall leaned like the Tower of Pisa.
