Had a 3 day stretch last week where every course came out dead level, wont happen again
So last Tuesday through Thursday I was laying a 12x20 block wall for a guy out in Aurora and I swear something clicked. First day I set 6 courses and my level bubble sat perfect on every single one, no tapping back and forth at all. Wednesday I got rained on for 2 hours and still stayed on line, and Thursday I knocked out the whole top course before lunch. Same mix, same trowel, same me, so I got no clue what was different. Any of you ever get a stretch like that where your hands just know where the block goes?
You ever notice how those days always come out of nowhere and then vanish just as fast? I had a stretch like that about two years back doing a foundation in the heat, and I still can't tell you what was different. Same mud, same tools, but the block just landed where it was supposed to every time. Feels like your body figures out the rhythm before your brain does. Enjoy it while it lasts man, cause the wall always humbles you eventually.
