Spent 3 hours trying to figure out why my wall was bowing, turns out my level was the problem

Kept checking the courses over and over and the bubble looked dead center every time. Finally grabbed my old 4 foot level from the truck and found my main one was off by almost a quarter inch over the length. Anyone else had a level go bad on them without dropping it?
