The mortar mix that turned pink on me in Phoenix
Last summer I was laying a garden wall out in Phoenix and grabbed what I thought was a fresh bag of type S, but it had gotten wet somehow and the whole batch cured a weird pink color. I had to chip out 14 blocks and redo the section before the homeowner came home from work. Has anyone else had a bad batch do something bizarre like that, or am I the only lucky one?

Heard iron in the sand causes that pink tint.
