Bought a bulk pack of cheap trash bags and learned my lesson

I spent $18 on a 200-pack of those no-name trash bags from a discount store, thinking I was saving big. Turned out they ripped every time I tried to take out the garbage, and I lost about $10 worth of food scraps and coffee grounds on my driveway in one week. Anyone else get burned by a bulk deal that was actually a total waste?

Learned my lesson" - yeah I bought a huge tub of off brand butter that tasted like candle wax.

Come on @chen.adam, "tasted like candle wax"? That's a bit dramatic isn't it. I've eaten plenty of off brand butter and it's fine for cooking. Maybe it wasn't even the butter, could have been what you were putting it on. Unless you literally lit it on fire and took a bite, I doubt it was that bad.

Ngl, im kinda here for the "lit it on fire and took a bite" visual. Like that's the only way you'd get actual candle wax flavor. But tbh, some of that cheap butter has such a weird oily aftertaste it could pass for a Yankee Candle if you squint hard enough. Maybe not full on wax, but definitely a "who let this sit next to the paraffin?" vibe.
